Alison Turner

Alison Turner is an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist with a Master of Clinical Science degree. She is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children and families. With a specialization in pediatric speech and language disorders, Alison has built a successful career providing comprehensive assessments, individualized intervention plans, and evidence-based therapy to support children’s communication development.

Committed to staying at the forefront of her field, Alison actively pursues continuous professional development. She holds certifications and training in various specialized areas, including the PROMPT technique, Lidcombe Fluency program, ESDM (Early Start Denver Model), PLAY Project, and Hanen Programs.

Currently, Alison holds the role of Chief Clinical Officer and Speech-Language Pathologist at 1to1 Rehab, where she showcases exceptional leadership and management skills. In 2022, Alison’s first venture, 1to1 Therapy Services, was acquired by a national behavioural health organization dedicated to serving children. As a serial entrepreneur and business founder, Alison is dedicated to pursuing additional certification including a certificate of specialization in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from Harvard Business School Online.

Leading an interdisciplinary team of therapists, Alison is known for her ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with colleagues, clients, and their families. She creates a supportive and nurturing environment that enhances the overall quality of care provided included mentorship for new graduates to the field.

In addition to her clinical role, Alison serves as a dedicated board member of QuickStart Early Years. In this capacity, she takes on the responsibility of supporting and facilitating relationships with stakeholders in the Durham region.
